Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP )
Pennsylvania's program to provide health coverage to uninsured children and teens who are not eligible for or enrolled in Medical Assistance. Regardless of the reasons your children might not have health insurance, CHIP may be able to help.

WIC ( Women, Infants, Children)
The Pennsylvania Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
WIC serves the following Pennsylvania residents:
Pregnant women.
Breastfeeding women, for up to one year postpartum.
Women up to six months postpartum, who are not breastfeeding.
Infants and children under 5 years old, including foster children.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
The Department of Human Services (DHS) is dedicated to helping low-income families become independent while they receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits. TANF is also referred to as cash assistance.
The TANF program provides money to help:
Pregnant women
Dependent children and their parents who live with them
Dependent children and other relatives who live with them and care for them

Medical Assistance Transportation (MATP)
The Travelers Aid MATP program assists Allegheny County residents who receive medical assistance insurance to billable medical services. Consumers must be deemed eligible by Travelers Aid and MATP, must reside in Allegheny County and must verify all services to receive assistance. If you live in Allegheny County and are receiving Medicaid, you may be eligible for free public transportation (bus, subway, incline) ahead of time tickets, or reimbursement for your use of public transportation/private vehicle, or free door-to-door service when medically necessary via a shared ride.

Touching Families
Touching Families, Inc. is a private, non profit, social service partner committed to enhancing the lives of all family members. We believe in keeping children with their family, with the intent of preserving rich cultural contexts and bonds of kinship. Touching Families, Inc. was established in 2001 to support the needs of families and communities. The program many of our FIN families will need is the FACT program, which is family learning based. They also have a mobile medical unit and summer food programs for families with children.

Auberle
Auberle is a faith-based, Catholic agency. Services include: workforce development program called the Employment Institute, Behavioral Health Services, Young Adult Services, Emergency Family Shelter program, supporting homeless families find housing, and supporting keeping families together.
Please note, the emergency family shelter program only takes referrals through Allegheny Link.
